The first thing that comes to mind… your laugh is beautiful, it sparkles even. Your voice! Gosh your voice sings, it’s enchanting really. Your smile is gorgeous. Your eyes are so soft and inviting. Your heart is warm and generous. Your skin is absolutely beautiful. I love the wispiness of your hair in this photo and even more so your joy, your joy is very clear that you pull from the depths of you. You’ve worked so hard to maintain that joy and when it finds you it shows. All that friend makes you more than pretty it makes you beautiful, memorable. What’s pretty anyway but a superficial concept of what’s deemed attractive?? No thanks!! 💗

Loved this soooo much!! Truly relatable!! Especially the part of it being a difficult conversation to talk about with others. As someone who finds herself straddling a lot of those same identities, it was so refreshing to engage with this piece without trying to rush to the “but you have a great personality” part. I enjoyed your wrestling with the topic while still sitting in it. Being able to reflect and emote about the experience and forcing readers to do the same!! All readers have to confront their place in this experience and how it impacts someone else as well as perpetuates systems (intentionally or unintentionally). I’m blown away at how you shared so much but it truly is still scratching the surface as I imagine there’s much more you could’ve shared. Conversations like this are so needed! I appreciate your vulnerability and relatability!! I feel so inspired by this piece! I felt seen and understood in a way that I never have before due to how this topic as a whole gets treated. It’s one of the hardest experiences to talk about as others try to rush you away from it like talking about it will make them get uglier lol. Ahh, so many thoughts that I will journal about but again thank you for this!!
